Headline Commentary
-
The 2025 A-Level results are the best results that the sixth form has achieved, albeit my a small margin, and validate the post-Covid trend of sustained high performance. For the fourth year running, the sixth form has remained firmly in the top three state institutions across the county.
-
The overall Average Points Score (APS) has increased from 38.03 in 2024 to 39.23 in 2024 and exceeding our previous best year (2023). The A* grade share has also grown from 11% to 13%. This shows a positive reversal of the downward trend seen in 2024 at the higher boundaries.
- Predictions were more accurate than ever, with an overall overprediction of around 0.09 of a grade. The vast majority of subjects saw at least 60% of students meeting or exceeding their predictions at the final snapshot of Year 13.
