    On Wednesday this week, the Geography department took a group of year 12 students to visit Oxford University Department of Geography and the Environment for a day of lectures and workshops on a range of different topics and subjects in Geography. The day was held at the Oxford Museum of Natural History and students were given opportunities to learn from experts in their field about topics ranging from climate change, to weathering in hot deserts and even an interesting session about mass extinctions and considering the ethical considerations of potentially bringing back the Mammoth.     Year 12/13 Theatre Trip to see DH Lawrence’s ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’

    Last week 40 Year 12 and 13 English Literature students attended a production of DH Lawrence’s famous novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover at the Oxford Playhouse. The play was very well done, with an excellent cast and some ingenious production techniques. Seeing it performed live was quite an experience and brought out the raw emotions of the story. It is no surprise that something which still seems quite controversial today was the subject of such an infamous court case in the 1950s. Read More
